RULES:
OYSTER is a non-profit organization committed to the welfare of society. It firmly believes that volunteers are its main work force. Every volunteer member is a mirror of OYSTER, its philosophy, and values. Hence, it would be appropriate on our part to brief you about the rules and regulations that every volunteer must be follow.

CODE OF CONDUCT
The Code of Conduct is intended to set volunteers of OYSTER as living role models for the society they interact with. It is stated with the sole purpose of helping society reclaim their rights without subjecting them to any sort of disappointment.

All emphasis is placed on teamwork rather than individual contribution.

The identity, values, and philosophy of OYSTER are sacrosanct and you shall always uphold its values.

All decisions on chapter (a city where we operate) and strategic levels shall be taken on a consensual basis. Individual perceptions will be given room to be aired but they shall not necessarily be the final decisions.

OYSTER Chapter office bearers (Chapter Representative, Finance Representative, PR and Content Representative) have to be consulted in all chapter level activities / initiatives. They will in turn suitably send a proposal / discuss the same with Central Cell Heads and to the President of OYSTER.

Any activity initiated by a volunteer shall be intimated to the concerned chapter representative. First time violation of Code of Conduct shall be met with an appropriate warning; if the same is repeated, then OYSTER will be constrained to cancel the membership of the offending party. That is going to be final and binding.

The members of Oyster India are hereby requested to abide by the following basic rules as true citizens of this nation Secularism must be adopted by all the members joining the organization. Social evils such as caste discrimination, gender bias, child labour and abuse etc. must be strongly condemned by every member.

Preservation of environment must be the primary duty of all the members. Members must understand their responsibilities towards the society. Members should abide by the law of the land in all aspects of life to the fullest for the safe conduct of one self as well as for maintaining peace in the society.

Please bear in mind that these regulations are meant to make us work in a safe and happy environment. They are not intended to coerce volunteers to work in a rigid and inflexible way.
